For every day so far in the month of September, I have been flopping around on the ground completing my 100 burpees for the day.
Each Monday we decided to benchmark test for our induvial results.
Week 1: 16.54
Week 2: 13.24
Week 3: 11.08
What exactly has changed over the course of 14 days to have a 34% reduction in elapsed time?
I will tell you this, they still suck the life out of me, LOL
… And I don’t think that I have become that much stronger
… or in that much better shape.
After Week 1 Test I decided that my goal by the 5th Monday, on September 30 I would be sub 10 Minutes.
The biggest thing that has changed in two weeks is my thoughts, my ability to push myself through the agony, through the misery.
And most importantly remind myself that I need to reduce my time to sub 10 minutes to prove to myself that I have integrity in my own word.
It has been said, what we Focus on is what we manufacture. So, for the remaining 1300 burpees, I will stop Focusing on how awful they are, and instead, I will Focus my thoughts on building my integrity with myself and the ability to push my body past my own comfort zone to reach that desired outcome.
